Course Objectives:

  • Provide educators with useful information related to the sensory systems that support students' participation and reduce challenging behaviors within the classroom. 
  • Help educators define the function of behaviors by identifying lagging skills and deficits within the sensory systems. 
  • Build confidence in implementing sensory strategies within the classroom to decrease challenging behaviors.
  • Reduce the stigma around behavioral challenges by supporting neuro-affirming practices. 


This course is designed for educators and school personnel (administration, service providers, paraprofessionals). Certificates of attendance will be issued to everyone who successfully completes this training.
